David Keith Nylund

I have been a therapist for 32 years working in non-profits, managed care, and private practice. I am experienced in working with anxiety/depression; couples therapy; trauma; ADHD; eating disorders; and family therapy. I am a Professor of Social Work at Sacramento State University. I conduct workshops for therapists nationwide/internationally. My recent work has been with LGBT youth and their families. I am the Clinical Director of the Gender Health Center, an agency that serves LGBTQ communities. I am also part of a Narrative Therapy Collective called Unique Outcomes. I teach for the Vancouver School for Narrative Therapy.. My specialty is Narrative Therapy, an approach that highlights people values and skills. I have a PhD in Cultural Studies from the UC Davis, an MSW from Sacramento State, and a BA from Michigan State University. I provide psychotherapy services for individuals, couples, families, adolescents, and children. The session duration is 50 minutes.
