Therapist Overview
Life can feel overwhelming, confusing and difficult. Relationships can be challenging. Change and loss can lead to uncertainty. All of this can lead to feelings of anxiety and depression. I help people make sense of their experience, navigate through difficult times and increase their self-awareness to achieve a greater sense of purpose, freedom, and choice in their lives. The therapeutic relationship is a collaborative space where you can work to understand and resolve your feelings, explore thoughts and behaviors that may have you feeling “stuck” in your life and identify relationship patterns that interfere with your well-being. My background is in depth psychology, which means that in addition to helping clients contain symptoms, I help them to explore what is behind those symptoms. As uncomfortable as some emotional experiences can be, what we call “symptoms” often contain valuable information about what we want and need and the state of our-selves. My approach is non-pathologizing and client-centered, with an emphasis on relationship building and Jungian psychology. Reaching out to a therapist is a courageous act and though therapy may be challenging, it can also lead to a more authentic life in relationship to ourselves and others. I invite you to call for a free 15 minute consultation.
