Therapist Overview
In the safety of a therapeutic relationship I create a space where people can talk about what troubles them. You may feel stressed and overwhelmed by a particular life event such as divorce, relationship break up, loss of job, conflict with family members, or are going through a significant life change and may wish to speak to someone. Working with a wide range of individuals I observed that people find relief from emotional distress by speaking about what troubles them. Clients often discover the underlying reasons for their suffering in some event in their past, and the current problem becomes an entry way into a deeper process of personal growth, integration and healing. My orientation is psychodynamic. I received postgraduate trauma training at Cambridge Hospital (supervised by Judy Herman), completed a Postgraduate Fellowship at Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis, and have a background in mindfulness practice, 12-Steps of AA, and Buddhist meditation.
