Therapist Overview

I specialize in counseling teens, tweens, young adults and their families. My clients range in age from nine through adulthood. My clients want a meaningful therapeutic experience with an expert who is engaging and nonjudgmental. For me to effectively help a client, it is imperative that the client trust our relationship in therapy. This is especially true for adolescent clients. My work with a client begins with building a foundation of trust and rapport. I work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues in individual counseling. I especially enjoy working with clients who struggle with anxiety disorders, PTSD, self-harming behaviors and mood disorders. My approach to therapy is solution-focused. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and DBT. However, I draw from many other types of therapy. Each session is tailored to the needs of my client. DBT Groups for Adolescents. DBT treatment focuses on building skills in four areas: 1) Emotional Regulation 2) Distress Toleran
