Therapist Overview
As a counselor, it is my role to help individuals explore their life transitions and challenges and to promote self care techniques as they move through this process. I have worked with individuals and families in a variety of settings for more than 30 years using various treatment models that promote individual strengths. I have worked with individuals across the lifespan who have struggled with adjustment to chronic medical and mental health diagnosis; life adjustment from college life to caregiver concerns and end of life decision making; depression and anxiety; grief/loss; aging and cognitive issues and relationships struggles. My style is eclectic based on what you may present to me. I use a variety of treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; Supportive Therapy; Motivational Interviewing and Brief Solution Focused Therapy. I encourage all of my clients to explore self care techniques such as mindfulness, relaxation techniques and stress management.
