*******I am not taking new clients at this time*********** I assist individuals in identifying strengths and capacities that may have been overlooked or undervalued. In a safe and supportive space we work together to see how these strengths and capacities may be employed in building new and empowering life narratives. I have twenty years experience as a teacher, social worker and counselor. During the week I work at the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute as an adult oncology social worker. On Saturdays I meet with clients in my SE Portland home office. My practice lens is Narrative Therapy, an approach that highlights people’s strengths. My practice focus is helping people navigate serious and chronic illness, grief and bereavement and challenges such as anxiety, depression and life transitions.
