Therapist Overview

I am comfortable working with serious persistent mental health issues, harmful family dynamics, personality disorders, and addiction problems. I also have a straightforward, lifestyle-based approach to issues like mood swings and insomnia. I offer humanistic, person-centered therapy at root, with a healthy dose of cognitive and behavioral methods when insight is insufficient. I can supplement those with Neurofeedback for clients who are not yet able to talk about issues, to help them relax and be calm and focused. I also am able to use EMDR methods to help repair the damages of trauma. I’m a husband, a father, a gamer, and a leftist, progressive nerd. I believe everybody ought to be free to choose the course of their life as best as they are able, without oppression and injustice. I believe that the American way of life is unintentionally hurtful and responsible for our anxiety, despite the mythology that says differently.
