It pays to talk to someone you can trust and who would not use what you say against you. Life has many challenges in store for everyone. Some, we can prevent, and others we can only manage them. This is particularly so with parents who are going through immense struggles as a result of parenting, work, and relationship with their spouses and other family members. You may be doing the right thing but not sure. That feeling of “lost control” suggest that you need to have a deeper view of the problem to regain control. Come talk to me. My focus is particularly on parents and their adolescent children. Children with behavior and substance abuse problems destabilize the family system and in most cases can result in divorce, extreme substance use and total chaos.
