Therapist Overview
Going through an enormous change can take over your life. So can trauma. My clients can feel overwhelmed, as they try to navigate all of the changes. Some find that tools that helped before don’t work. Some find that the earlier trauma comes back again. Some notice that their bodies have distressing sensations, without knowing why or what to do. Some can’t stop thinking about the past. Some are highly sensitive and feel like the world is too much. By the time clients call me, they feel alone and afraid, but they don’t want anyone to know that they feel this way. I get it. For the past 20 years, I’ve been helping people who’ve experienced trauma and loss navigate big life changes. I know what works and what doesn’t. Clients say I’m warm, supportive, down-to-earth, and that I work hard to help them feel like they can move toward a future that’s brighter. I love my work and am grateful to work such amazing clients. It’s not always easy to find a therapist, especially on Psychology Today.
