Therapist Overview
As an LPC intern, I provide a person-centered approach to help individuals learn about themselves in different cultural contexts. Individuals deserve to sit with a counselor who is not merely accepting, but more importantly, non-judgmental. I believe people’s identities are ever-changing and that counseling has the potential to help support people through life changes and mental health experiences. I hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a second Masters Degree in Special Education, which gives me a unique counseling skill set and perspective. When working with individuals, my first goal is to create a safe therapeutic relationship in which my clients feel respected and supported. I utilize an integrative approach and use therapies that fit each client individually. I rely heavily on the framework of Client-centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I invite potential clients to reach out to me and begin devoting time to mind wellness. Please feel free to email me with questions about my counseling style or services.
