Therapist Overview
As a queer, trans, non-binary, non-conformist, I know that finding the right therapist is hard, and living in a rural setting can be isolating. I can support you with gender transition, depression, anxiety, perfectionism, trauma recovery, accepting your sexuality, or developing the meaningful life you want. You may not be seeking therapy for support related to your gender, sexuality, open relationships, BDSM, size, radical politics, invisible disability, chronic pain, experience of oppression, or neurodiversity, but you will not have to waste your precious time educating me about these realities or convincing me of their validity. I enjoy combining creative expression, mindfulness, and education to foster insight, growth, and change. I facilitate both skill building and techniques to reduce distress related to difficult memories so your relief is lasting and you can handle future challenges. My eclectic style includes body and mind and is informed by feminist and queer perspectives. My specialty is supporting creative and sensitive people who cope with feeling like an outsider in a capitalist, heteronormative society, especially in rural areas where therapists with subculture experience can be harder to find. My clients appreciate my non-judgmental approach to taboo topics and honesty about my own related experience. 707-244-1938
