I am an experienced Art Therapist, artist, wife and mother. I experienced that loss of my oldest son at birth due to HELLP Syndrome in 2003. I understand this type of grief both personally and professionally. I also understand the issues that arise when you also struggle with fertility issues following a loss. Becoming pregnant in the midst of these issues requires a mindfulness practice to stay in the present while paying attention to the past and being hopeful for the future. I work from a creative arts-based practice that focuses on your strengths. Art therapy has a way of bypassing the verbal, thinking mind and more directly speaks to the visual, emotional mind.
