Stefan G Hofmann

I am Professor of Psychology at the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Boston University where I direct the Psychotherapy and Emotion Research Laboratory, www.bostonanxiety.org. My research focuses on the mechanism of treatment change, translating discoveries from neuroscience into clinical applications, emotions, and cultural expressions of psychopathology. I was the president of Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies and of the International Association for Cognitive Psychotherapy. I am currently the editor in chief of Cognitive Therapy and Research. I have published more than 300 scientific articles and more than 20 books. I am a Highly Cited Researcher. I study emotional disorders, such as anxiety and mood disorders. I have been identified as one of the foremost experts in cognitive behavioral therapies.
