I worked for over 30 years in most of the outpatient and inpatient services of a large medical center’s department of psychiatry and provided treatment to a very diverse demographic suffering from the full spectrum of psychopathologies. In my 30 plus years of private practice I have treated individuals afflicted with, but not limited to, affective disorders and troubled couples challenged by life-cycle events. I continue to work closely with medical providers providing psychopharmacological care to my patients. I have great respect for the difficult psychological hurdles related to the acculturative stress many vulnerable immigrant families experience while confronting the challenges associated with integrating into a new society. My training has enabled me to provide support and guidance particularly around the inter-generational conflicts that often impact these immigrant families.
