Therapist Overview
My ideal clients are adult individuals and couples who are trying to sort out relationship issues and family of origin issues. I also can be helpful to people who have workplace dilemmas. Depression, anxiety, emotional distance or cut off in the family are issues that I can help clients address. My work is unique in that I use a coaching approach, collaborating with clients as they work out their problems in the couple relationships, in the nuclear family, and the extended family. I have worked many years using Bowen family systems theory as my basic way of understanding human relationships. This means that I believe all relationship issues have components deriving from the family of origin, sibling position, emotional triangles, and emotional cutoffs. I am available to meet with you Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays anytime from 9:a.m. to 6: p.m., and occasionally on Mondays and Fridays by special arrangement.
