Recovery can be hardâreally hard. But it is possible to move past addiction, and find a fresh start. I have the most success when using CBT and DBT methods of treating people burdened with addiction. I believe, as in any relationship, for emotional growth to occur, the environment must be one that fosters compassion, honesty, open communication, trust, and mutual respect. I am a dedicated Certified Addictions Counselor (CADC) with more than 25 years of experience in treating alcohol and drug abuse. My approach is one of working together with the person to achieve the greatest success. Because addiction can be dually diagnosed with other disorders, I also help individuals who suffer from mood (anxiety, depression, bipolar) or thought disorders (schizophrenia), or both.
