Therapist Overview
I am mom to 4 children; two of whom were adopted. Being a Mom is my most important role and it is what inspires me! I am passionate about helping families find their joy. I work with adopted children and their parents in a quest to find peace and joy in the family. As an adoptive parent, I get trauma. I see how kids are affected by early neglect, abuse and trauma. I know from my training, clinical experience and most of all from my own parenting journey, that hope and healing is available. I have been trained in connected parenting and am a TBRI ( Trust Based Relational Intervention) Practitioner and a Certified Beyond Consequences Trainer. I use Theraplay-Informed practice and EMDR to address trauma. My experience with trauma, parenting and family is first hand and it is that experience that led me to my work as a therapist and makes me passionate about families.
