Healing, improving, achieving goals, and finding purpose in life are foremost in human thought. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills help persons with suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and trauma. Developing these skills will improve your ability to be mindful, to regulate emotions, to tolerate distress, and to be effective in your relationships. Teaching these skills for the past 8 years has improved my own ability to navigate life’s challenges. Learning these skills builds confidence, assurance of self, and opens alternatives to getting out of the immediate stuck pattern of thoughts and actions you find yourself in. As your therapist, I help you to learn and to practice these skills. You’re feeling lost, and desire help finding the map back to you, your life and passions. Music, art, poetry, and writing are utilized to ignite feeling, motivation, and drive. Once the energy is identified we will use it to fuel your ambition, your hopes, and your ability to heal. All humans know loss. It feels amazing to find hope and to feel found. Your favorite music, art, pets, food, people make you feel alive and connected. Healing is finding that again. Healing is hoping, and having the courage to love and to forgive again. It starts with loving yourself. It can start with our first conversation. I want to help ignite potential.
