Therapist Overview

I provide individual therapy primarily for adults. I specialize in grief, life transitions, suicide prevention, relationships, disempowerment, ism (classism, sizeism, heterosexism), self-identity, and trauma associated with childhood sexual abuse and neglect. I also specialize in treating families and individuals struggling with minority issues, interracial relationships, cross-culture and immigration. My approach includes sandtray, imagery, and mindfulness. I am a native Japanese speaker and fluent in English. As I am an immigrant in the U.S., I support individuals, couples and families who feel torn between two cultures. I respect diversity. I honor military families who experienced deployment to overseas (especially to Asia) and reintegration into civilian life. I am here to listen.
