Therapist Overview

Welcome! I have been in practice in diverse community settings for nearly 20 years, largely with survivors of abuse and intimate partner/domestic violence and with individuals who have experienced homicide death or other traumatic loss. I work frequently with young adults who have experienced abuse in childhood, struggling within relationships or in life transitions. Traumatic experiences can lead to feelings of hopelessness, depression, anxiety and complex physical symptoms. My therapeutic approach is warm & collaborative. Your strengths, values and interests will help define goals for treatment. Psychodynamically trained, I also have expertise in evidence-based treatments of trauma, abuse and grief, including TF-CBT, EMDR and treatment for complicated bereavement. Holistic wellness integration is a common focus of my work. In my experience, therapy is most fulfilling and successful within a safe, trusting relationship, one that values your unique cultural experiences and identity. Holding space with folks who have experienced discrimination and social & financial injustice has been a steady thread in my practice. Please reach out for support; I am here to help.
