Therapist Overview
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have recently received my doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Eastern University. I am offering external supervision for clinicians and/or trainees that are seeking supervision hours and working toward licensure. I am trained in Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy and am a firm believer in person/self of the therapist work. Based on my research, I particularly specialize in socio-cultural diversity and addressing the rich and unique experiences of therapists of color. I will assist supervisees with having deeper insight into their clients/families as well as grow and develop their awareness of self-of-the therapist issues. The supervisee will be encouraged to recognize how their identity impacts their work as a therapist and often adds to their ability to create change. Many therapists of color are left to manage the stressors of race, power, and privilege in their work alone while attempting to maintain professionalism and care. I believe that supervision is a powerful tool that will allow therapists to feel supported and rejuvenated to continue this sacred work of therapy.
