Sometimes what we’re struggling with and going through doesn’t fit into words and, because of this, it has the upper hand. In depth psychology this kind of experience is connected to the Unconscious. It escapes understanding and remains unknowable, yet we still physically and emotionally feel it. These kinds of experiences led me to my doctoral studies and research. I learned to identify and understand these experiences in relation to what Carl Jung called the archetypes, the transformational and guiding energy of the psyche. The archetypes, although invisible processes within us, are made visible in our dreams. I offer a Jungian or archetypal understanding and approach to what you may be going through. I look at what you are struggling with as a manifestation of the archetypes. I start by identifying archetypal patterns in your experience, then use a combination of dream analysis and Greek mythology to translate your challenge into an experience of soul.
