Women often come to my office with a feeling that their cups are “running over.” As a woman and licensed clinical psychologist, I can relate to the feeling of running from appointment to appointment, from commitment to commitment, from day to day. Too much of modern living is about “getting by,” and “just getting through things” at the expense of joy. My work focuses upon supporting women in connecting more deeply with their experiences, with loved ones, and with themselves. As a trauma specialist I use empirically based psychotherapies to help women grappling with a number of concerns, including depression, anxiety, grief, and PTSD. In emphasizing what is right with the individual rather than what is “wrong,” I work with women to examine the aspects of their lives that may have shrunk over time, building more room for creativity, relationships, and joy.
