I am a licensed psychologist who utilizes mindfulness-based therapies in my approach to treatment. I have worked with many patients experiencing varied mental health issues, with specialty in the treatment of depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, eating disorders and sleep disorders. In an effort to improve outcome in treatment, I have added neurofeedback to enhance brain function that may, in turn, improve the underlying disorder. Neurofeedback is a form of biofeedback in which you use in-the-moment feedback from your brain (displayed on a computer monitor) to train your brain to self-regulate. Neurofeedback has been likened to “yoga” for the brain, increasing stability and flexibility of the EEG (brainwaves).
