When we experience emotional pain, our attention can become very narrow and we tend to focus on all that is going wrong. This is more so when that emotional pain has its roots in trauma. It becomes even harder to widen our lens to access strength and recovery. As a trauma-focused therapist, I’ve devoted my career to helping others find their pathway to healing from childhood adversity, sexual abuse, physical and emotional abuse, and substance use issues. I use evidence-based practices to help manage anxiety, reduce stress, gain self-confidence, improve relationships, and cope with the ongoing difficulties of life. In my work with adults, adolescents, and couples, I know that healing starts with being heard and feeling empowered. My intention is to listen and collaborate with you, and to bring in the best possible tools to support you in working toward your goals.
