The best indicator of whether a person is ready to come to therapy is themselves. When anxiety, depression, trauma or any other kind of psychological distress become central in a person’s life– these things interfere with the things we want to achieve and the happiness we want to experience. I help tweens, teens and young adults navigate these difficulties that affect their lives; often the issues are associated with academics. I do academic coaching, which is a distinct process of helping students now and long term with doing better in difficult context. My practice includes couples work: I have a patent on research related to couples therapy. Therapy is the space that two experts meet. While the client (or parent of the client) is the expert of their life, the therapist is expert of the process towards facilitating change.
