I believe in empowerment of the individual and families through utilization of a holistic therapeutic approach which incorporates healing of the mind, body, and spirit. I also believe that the key to most issues is learning how to communicate with others in an assertive, non-aggressive manner which facilitates creating a foundation for loving, supportive relationships. Although most sessions focus on a narrative, conversational approach I often incorporate art therapy/play therapy, especially when working with children and adolescents. My clients are self-motivated individuals/families committed to improving their lives. My clinical experience includes working in private practice, school settings, and partial hospitalization/intensive outpatient settings. I find great personal reward in helping adults/children dealing with anxiety disorders such as obsessive/compulsive and adjustment disorders, as well as grief, trauma, and PTSD.
