Therapist Overview
I work with adolescents, adults and couples. To explore unsatisfying relationships and issues of personal identity, I draw on concepts from dynamic, relational and cognitive behavioral psychology. I see psychotherapy as a collaboration, a co-creation between therapist and patient. With individuals, I work with problems of anxiety, of life transitions, of the workplace, of love in all it’s forms. Where there are issues of addiction, depression and difficult early attachment, I draw on my experience as a supervising psychologist in inner city hospitals. With couples, work begins by establishing where the individuals are now. Then, referencing problems from past relationships and family experiences, I try to help the couple find pragmatic solutions to areas of conflict. I’m direct in helping partners accept that some disagreement is part of any relationship. I encourage conscious, fair and respectful communication.
