Jane Gooen-Piels

I am a clinical psychologist licensed and practicing in New York, NY and West Orange, NJ. I work with individuals across the life span, including children, adolescents and adults, as well as couples. I work with people with a variety of presenting problems including anxiety and depression; relationship, school, work and life issues; learning vulnerabilities and related anxiety, depression and self-esteem issues; parenting at all phases, including new parent issues; pregnancy and postpartum issues; infertility; issues related to medical illness, including cancer; and grief and loss. Prior to my work in private practice I specialized in treatment of cancer patients at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. I have expertise in neuropsychological testing of children with learning vulnerabilities and disabilities. Further, I completed postdoctoral training in child and adolescent psychotherapy at the William Alanson White Institute in New York City.
