I am provisionally licensed as a professional counselor. I started Morning Star Therapeutic Services to help those individuals and families in need specializing in At Risk/Special Needs youth. Sara is EAGALA certified utilizing horses experientially for mental health treatment and human development and has committed to uphold EAGALA standards of ethics and practice. The EAGALA model incorporates horses experientially for emotional growth and learning using a “hands-on approach” in nature. Our clients learn about themselves and others by participating in activities with the horses, then process feelings, behaviors, and patterns. The EAGALA model makes objective observations aiding the client to tell their story using metaphors/life comparisons. EAGALA Model uses a TEAM approach (equine specialist, mental health professional, horses) working together with clients. Focus is on the ground with horses. I believe our clients have the best solutions for themselves. We allow our clients to exp
