Rachel Murphy Hinton

I often say ‘Life is a journey…it is such a journey.’ I believe the counseling relationship is a unique and special relationship. My passion and focus is on creating a safe place where individuals and couples are able to explore and address their concerns on the journey. A place where people can say those things that are hard to say and work on those things that are hard to work on…in a safe environment. I am specifically providing EFT marriage/couples counseling, which focuses on working with couples to create new cycles of bonding and interactions as well as fostering secure bonds between partners. In the above office, I am working with couples in providing EFT (emotionally focused therapy) marriage/couples counseling. I have been in private practice and licensed as an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) since 1998 and I have been licensed as an LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) since 2002. In private practice, I have provided individual, group, and family services. I have experience in numerous areas including marriage and family, mood related issues, relationship issues, adjustment issues, grief, substance abuse, and trauma (including post traumatic stress, abuse, and domestic violence) . I am trained in EFT, working toward certification.
