Therapist Overview
Children and adolescents are facing greater challenges than ever before. This can lead to increased rates of depression, anxiety, eating disorders, self-injurious behaviors and suicide. I am passionate about working with children and young adults, as well as their families, to help develop resiliency and a strong sense of self. We will work together to identify areas for improvement and build on individual strengths to create change. Over the last several years I have been able to work with children, adolescents and adults struggling with various aspects of life. I enjoy working with individuals using several different methods including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and dialectal behavior therapy (DBT) to uncover incongruencies within oneself and then work toward change. I believe that change is more likely to occur in a safe, compassionate environment where the individual is free to express themselves without fear of judgment. I look forward to building a therapeutic relationship, that honors you as a person, while providing you with the support to reach goals.
