I am happy to announce that I am accepting new patients for my psychological assessment and psychotherapy practice in Shrewsbury. I am a NJ Licensed Clinical Psychologist, with more than 25 years of professional experience, specializing in the treatment of children and adults. Over the years I have provided therapy and psychodiagnostic testing to diverse populations in a large inner-city medical center, a community mental health agency and in the school system. Therapeutically, I utilize a cognitive behavioral approach, which is a widely used evidenced-based practice that is generally short-term and goal oriented. I work intensively with young children and adults, using therapeutic strategies that are appropriate for the age and the emotional issues of the individual in treatment. I utilize a combination of insight-oriented therapy and cognitive-behavioral strategies, as well as Play Therapy with younger children. I also provide psychological testing and evaluation. I conduct educational and clinical testing, which can generate treatment recommendations, school interventions, and standardized testing accommodations. Moreover, I specialize in the assessment of very young children, including infants and toddlers.
