My ideal client is transitioning between employment and is experiencing anxiety or depression due to changes in work, in family, or in personal values and goals. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, memory concerns, adult-child relationships, caring for a cognitively or physically impaired partner. I treat psychopathology in adults including obsessive-compulsive disorder and bipolar disorder. I was a professor of counseling psychology at the University of Utah for 23 years where I supervised pre- and post-doctoral students. I am skilled in psychoanalysis, cognitive-behavioral therapy, hypnosis, interpersonal process therapy, memory assessment, and memory rehabilitation techniques. I treat caregivers and persons with end-of-life concerns.
