Leilani Jane Carinio

I have a passion for helping adolescents connect with their personal strengths while empowering them with coping skills to overcome their mental health and addiction challenges. My experience entails providing individual and group therapy in community counseling centers, intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs, and residential and inpatient hospital settings. In my capacity as Lead Therapist for several Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Programs, I developed curriculum that integrated expressive arts and experiential activities to teach coping skills in a meaningful and interactive way. I have an extensive background in adolescent mental health, am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and have completed EMDR Basic Training. I also have comprehensive knowledge and training working with trauma, domestic violence, and addiction treatment.
