As a Licensed Psychological Associate and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist, I am trained in understanding the academic, social, and emotional development of children and youth. I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill School Psychology program, and I have many years of experience as a school psychologist in the local public schools as well as in research settings at UNC Hospitals. I understand the special education eligibility process and have extensive experience and training in assessing children with learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, giftedness, and behavior disorders. I provide evaluations for children and young adults whose families are concerned about their learning and development. An evaluation may include assessment measures from any of the following areas: cognitive (IQ), educational, behavioral/emotional, social, adaptive behavior, memory, observations, interviews, and developmental history.
