I believe healing comes from listening, empowerment, self-awareness, advocacy, and collaboration. Chronic illness and disability can limit an individuals quality of life in many ways: (1) employment, (2) school, (3) relationships, (4) physical, and (5) mental health. A disability does not define a person’s identity, or limit functioning. If you are living a life filled with stress, anxiety, or depression from a disability or chronic illness know that you can take back control of your life. You are the narrator of your own story. Let’s rewrite it together! I specialize in providing individualized treatment to those suffering from psychosocial issues related to chronic illness across six domains: (1) cognition, (2) mobility, (3) self-care, (4) social interaction, (5) life activities, and (6) participation.Additional populations I work with are military veterans, and those experiencing anxiety or depression. Sometimes, we can feel alone when living with a disability or chronic illness. We tend to believe that no one understands the everyday struggle or that we are a burden to others.
