My specialty is working with children, adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression and OCD. I worked at McLean’s residential OCD facility and Rogers’ residential, partial and intensive programs for anxiety/OCD. I use a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and compassion-focused therapy (CFT). A powerful treatment tool is exposure work, which is the gold-standard treatment when working with anxiety/OCD. With this systematic approach people learn how to face their fears and no longer be controlled by them, which provides a liberating and confidence building process. I also offer parent workshops. The workshops provide parents with a strong understanding of how anxiety/OCD works, along with specific strategies that unintentionally strengthen the anxiety/OCD, and powerful techniques parents can use to help their child who is struggling with anxiety/OCD.
