Hello, I’m practicing therapy at the office of Scott Polenz in Fresno, CA. Prior to working at this office I provided therapy to resource families and with the substance use population. My career as a counselor follows 10 years working as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician in California. What I offer potential clients is a convenient way to enroll in services. I utilize a cognitive-behavioral model (CBT) in therapy and have used such to provide therapy to individuals, kids, groups, families, couples, and parents. It’s been my experience that a CBT based modality is a practical way to approach a variety of presenting issues. I have worked with mood disorders, gender issues, substance use, sexual issues, relational issues, job stress, and trauma. Some content that may be covered in therapy regards boundaries, relationship building skills, trauma education, and setting goals to get you where you need to go.
