Ginny Jamieson

I am passionate about counseling alcoholic/addicts and/or their families to help them better understand the disease of addiction and the dynamics of how adversely they have all been affected. I have worked in the field for thirty years and love seeing addicts and their families get the help the so much deserve. It is a treatable disease and by one family member reaching out, the process of recovery can begins. Facilitated workshops on all issues of addiction and codependency at Good Samaritan Hospital and Kaiser Permanente Hospital. I also am an Intervention Specialist and have been facilitating Interventions for thirty years. Information and education regarding addiction and codependency will help everyone. I meet with the family for an educational workshop with a question and answer period after. Once everyone understand that addiction is a treatable disease and the dynamics of enabling, they are able to set limits and boundaries and encourage the addict to seek recovery.
