Therapist Overview
Sometimes it may feel like the day has been a struggle to survive. Overwhelming emotions and feelings of fear can prevent us from leading our lives fully. As a therapist, I believe that taking time to learn more about ourselves and intentionally increasing our feelings of safety allows us to activate our innate ability to heal and take us on a journey towards a life in which we are thriving. I work to provide an unoppressive space for you to explore your emotional health and identity in order to identify internal conflict and work to move forward creatively. I practice from a humanistic and trauma-informed position, and have been trained to use art therapy to assist with mindfulness skills and increase self expression. My experience has focused on working with anxiety and mood disorders including individuals who have suffered from complex trauma and those from queer and TGNB communities. Exploring ourselves and attending to our needs takes work, but I believe that with empathy and curiosity- feelings of relief and a sense of balance are right around the corner.
