Therapist Overview
I am interested in working with people searching to become more conscious of themselves and their needs. To progress, you must look at both the negative issues you possess, as well as the beauty within you may deny. My approach to counseling can benefit those who struggle with anxiety, depression, and trauma and wish to confront these fears and blocks in a safe place. Therapy is a way to address the issues that stop you from being able to work, love, and feel fulfillment in your world. I tend to work with adults, adolescents, and couples. I work from an existentialist perspective. Existentialists believe: people have the capacity for self-awareness; each person has a unique identity that can be known through relationships with others. Existentialism also assumes that you must re-create yourself because life’s meaning changes through time. Feeling authentic allows you to change. I see the patient and therapist as fellow travelers down the road of understanding. They’re humans dealing with essential problems of existence and must work cooperatively to solve them. Discovering where your anxiety and depression come from is how lasting change happens. Learn to navigate from inside out, rather than being at the mercy of life’s changes.
