The Anxiety and Behavioral Clinic For Children and Families is an outpatient clinic located in Tallahassee, Florida. We specialize in treating anxiety disorders and behavioral problems in children and families. We provide state-of-the-art, scientifically studied treatment approaches. The clinic is directed by Dr. Alexandria (Alex) Meyer – a research professor at Florida State University who specializes in the neuroscience of anxiety and behavior in children. We view anxiety disorders and behavioral problems as treatable and aim to provide effective and time-limited therapy to children and families in the community. Our approach to therapy is integrative – we seek to combine useful elements from a variety of evidence-based therapy strategies. Primarily, our therapy utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to treat anxiety. CBT is a highly effective, short-term treatment that results in substantial decreases in anxiety symptoms.
