Therapist Overview
In my practice as a counselor, I believe that relationships are both formative and transformative. Most people find a connection between their relationships and the struggles they experience in their lives. Therefore, I approach counseling from an interpersonal perspective. In our sessions together, I will ask questions about your past and current relationships and their contribution to the issues that bring you to therapy. Where appropriate, I also incorporate cognitive-behavioral techniques in my practice. In addition to our time directly together, you may also be asked to complete homework between sessions in order to provide continuity between sessions. I chose to become a Christian counselor because I know that conflict and pain are inevitable in a world corrupted by sin. I believe I have been called by God to help others know that healing is possible and that God will never tempt us beyond what we can handle.
