Therapist Overview
I work with those 16 years and older with a range of struggles, including adjustment to life stressors, anxiety, depression, and ADHD. I also have experience and am passionate about working with individuals and couples (including LGBTQ+) struggling to build/grow their families with assisted/3rd party reproduction (IUI, IVF, donor egg/sperm, gestational surrogacy) and/or adoption. My goal is to provide support throughout the pregnancy journey, including pregnancy loss, traumatic birth, NICU support, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. I am also skilled in helping parents manage challenges including sleep issues and tantrums. I am a licensed psychologist and earned my PhD from The University of Texas in 2002. I have specialized training and experience providing therapy for mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, support in family building/infertility, third party reproduction, pregnancy loss, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. I view therapy as a partnership in which a combination of identifying your strengths and finding new strategies to overcome your struggles is key. In therapy, I utilize a variety of strategies to reach the goals that you help identify, and I believe that feedback informed therapy will optimize your results. I look forward to the opportunity to meet with you.
