I am a qualified Substance Abuse Professional. Within the industry, my credential is referred to as a SAP, or more concisely, a QSAP. That means that I am qualified, under the Rules and regulations of the Federal Department of Transportation to provide substance abuse evaluations to DOT employees, and prospective employees, in safety sensitive positions under any of the 6 DOT transportation modes. These modes include Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, Pipeline & Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, Federal Aviation Administration, Federal Railroad, Maritime Administration, and the Federal Transit Administration. I provide an Initial SAP Evaluation, based upon my clinical expertise, knowledge, and experience in diagnosing and treating substance use disorders, controlled substance use, and related disorders.
