Monica Metzler

I provide sliding-scale, expressive arts therapy for individuals, couples, and families of all configurations. Sessions are accessible to all regardless of income or insurance. I work collaboratively with youth and adults and often use creative interventions to process unresolved emotions and experiences. I have a family systems lens, which means that I respect each person’s autonomy while also recognizing the dynamic ways family systems, society, and culture shape us. I will assist you in locating your strengths, finding your own solutions, and working to shift behaviors that affect your relationship to self and others. I believe that living in optimal health is possible for everyone. I view clients as having the agency to transform themselves and as people who have powerful gifts to offer the world. Healing is a unique journey, and my role is to support your process by providing a safe space where you can confront pain and suffering, and find new ways to cope and thrive.
