Therapist Overview
I have worked with clients who struggle with a wide-range of complex emotional and behavioral disorders including depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, attachment issues, self-identity and self-love. I have worked with teen girls and their families at a treatment center by helping them explore life values, create and use new strengths that build communication, connection, and trust. I enjoy working with the entire family system, including couples. I focus on creating an alliance with my client in giving them safety, validation, and possibility. I am open-minded and want to help you find the best version of yourself without judgment. I frequently use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), and DBT Therapy approaches in my work. I’ve had the opportunity to work in various mental health settings including outpatient, residential care, and a behavioral hospital adolescent care unit. Ultimately, my goal is to help you explore areas you are struggling with and help you find the happiness you are looking for. I know how difficult life can be. I believe my own life experiences and struggles have helped me gain an understanding of the importance of “individuality” and resiliency. I became a therapist because I genuinely care about others.
