Therapist Overview
Not only being a wife and mom but also overcoming secondary infertility, miscarriage, life transitions, loss of a parent, plus my 20 years experience as an educator and another 10 providing community-based services, adds to my global perspective on issues that we all face from time to time. I support diverse family structures whether heterosexual, same sex, grandparents as primary caregivers, solo parent, nuclear, or extended. My mission is to support clients in an accepted, validated, and safe environment, and to empower clients with hope and tools for their journey. I offer evening and weekend hours for individual, couple, family, and group counseling. I see adults and teens and specialize in postpartum individuals and families, fertility, anxiety, depression, life transitions, personal crisis, trauma, self esteem & empowerment, relationship issues, parenting support, and grief and loss. I understand seeking therapy can be a daunting task and often people are unsure about entering into a therapeutic relationship. I realize change is possible when a person feels accepted, validated, and safe. My approach to therapy is client centered with a strengths based perspective. I meet the client where they are and walk with them on their journey.
