Therapist Overview
My expertise in borderline personality disorder treatment helps clients and their families in the Bay Area with personality, mood and anxiety disorders. At Mind Therapy Clinic, I work with adolescents, adults, families and couples to help restore mental health, well-being, understanding and balance to important relationships. Together with clients, I focus on teaching the skills necessary to regulate and manage emotions, as well as helping to shape a life driven by one’s values. My previous position at McLean Hospital in Belmont, MA has shaped my clinical approach to be a curious and engaged observer, and a life-long learner. I am a licensed clinical social worker, trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mentalization Based Therapy (MBT), DBT-PTSD, MBT for families, Family Systems and General Psychiatric Management (GPM). My integrated therapeutic approach allows me to extend flexibility with each client in understanding and treating their particular needs. My therapeutic stance is – good therapy is born out of mutual understanding, empathy and compassion between therapist and client. My work is truly with my clients and I value the experience of doing the work together – exploring and addressing the broad range of life experiences from struggles to triumphs.
